My fashion calendar officially started with Asia Fashion Exchange - Singapore's biggest fashion event comprising of Star Creation (a young designer competition), Asia Fashion Conference, Blueprint Tradeshow and of course Audi Fashion Festival. This is the first time that I've managed to see a Zac Posen live show and seeing him walk down the runway was just surreal. I'm really a big fan of his evening wear and opulent ballgowns.
I had an outdoor shoot with my dear Kristie, which resulted in me getting 10 mosquito bites on my legs. But the results from the shoot was quite worth it. Shooting with Kristie is always very natural to me, because I'm the most comfortable in front of her. You can see my old outfits under the Outfits tag.
I also walked for the opening for Lowry's Farm first store in Singapore and in the backstage photo you can see my two looks, styled by Fumi-san. They created a very kawaii braided hairstyle for me.
During the F1 racing and party weekend, I was kindly invited by Asian Fashion Inc abroad the Lili Marleen, a German ship that was built in the 1920s. The narrow corridor and the old facade of the ship was maintained and I can really imagine the stories of the passengers that had boarded the ship before me.
I still can recall how excited and amazed I felt the day when I received an email from Sharon Au! I read that email in disbelief, almost. I went for a photoshoot with Mediacorp to support Sharon Au's latest venture, styleXstyle, which is a fashion community for Asian fashion lovers.
Finally, I met with the lovely Jessica Michault, who is a fashion writer for the IHT and frequently appears on France24 to comment on fashion. She was in town, together with the legendary Suzy Menkes and Kenzo, among many of the fashion greats and haute couture designers during Haute Couture Week 2012 that happened in December. I chatted with her and we had made plans to lunch together next time she drops by Singapore. I was also exposed to the breathtaking beautiful collection by Yiqing Yin, the youngest designer accepted into Syndicale de la Haute Couture to date. More on her work to come on my blog!
All in all I guess it was quite another eventful year. I'm sure 2013 will involve even more up's and down's as I would be going overseas on an exchange program in the later half of the year, also planning on a 3-month intensive internship, and changes in my personal life as well. Come - I'm ready.
