I have always wanted luminous skin. You know the kind that is so clear that it glows. Like Fann Wang's or Sheila Sim's, if you will. Unfortunately, in my earlier teenage years, I didn't know how to take care of my skin properly and that has led to enlarged pores on my nose and along the sides on my cheeks. Bad sleeping habits and late nights with school and work nowadays are not exactly helping either. I have always been envious of girls with super clear, luminous skin because it would mean that they would look good with very little makeup. Good skin is the base for makeup - it will make whatever you are wearing seat on your face better and shows that you are well groomed in general, so it's important to activate your skin's inner light.
And L'Oreal's latest product, the Youth Code Luminizing Essence is meant to do just that. It contains 3 active ingredients -
- Pro Cystein - Brighten Skin Tone
- Pearls (Micro Blue Pearls) - Enhance Transparency of Skin
- Pore Refiner - Even Out Skin Texture
I love the packaging - it comes in a dropper bottle, making it easy to dispense and sanitary. You simply need to squeeze one pump-ful onto your palm, blend it out slightly and then pat gently onto your face with your fingers and follow with your usual moisturizing lotion afterwards.
The formula is very light and non-greasy, making it very easily absorbed into my skin. I have just started using it for a week, so I would not be able to comment on its efficacy yet, but I do like how my skin looks more glowy and refreshed the next morning when I wake up!
So I'm telling you girls - don't wait till you're much older in your thirties and struggling with dull and uneven skin tones and giant pores. Activate your skin's inner light now!
I don't think I'll be disappointed with Youth Code - I mean c'mon even Rui En uses it! You can get it at Watsons currently, and it will hit all Watsons, Guardian, SASA, Department Stores and major hypermarkets from 17th July onwards. More details on www.youthcode.com.sg.
