The PR faeries must hate me. I am so late at blogging about events and latest happenings during the school term, because I simply don't have time nowadays. To put it simply, I'm literally drowning in deadlines.
This was a look that I wanted to post really long ago because I felt that it really suited the setting which I was at. This was shot upon Lili Marleen, a ship built in Germany in the 1920s and its cabins have since then been refurbished but still keeping its antique glamour. I can really imagine its history - the guests that used to reside in the cabins - drinking red wine and dining in its cafe, singing upon its decks... The ship alone seems to hide a lot of secrets, but yet carry with it a sense of jovial adventure that you can go anywhere with it. I was lucky enough to be invited to the Stylo International event as a guest of Asia Fashion Inc during the F1 season. The event also featured works of emerging fashion designers who were the winners of the latest Mercedes Benz Emerging Designers competition. They made 6 couture looks from recycled materials just for this event and I must say it really looks great.
Especially that last photograph above. A serendipitous capture but with so much emotion.
I really want to go on a holiday! If only I had Lili Marleen to sail with - I'll take her to visit the docks of the world...but I bet she has probably already seen so much more than me.
